Three minutes of thought provocation
A simple but provocative touring exhibition designed to trigger thinking for improved mental health, and help families and children renew healthy values for a more fulfilling future. In an eye-catching and richly illustrated way, the educational installation presents a gentle contrast between two lifestyles: modern 21st century Western Civilization and self-supporting zero-tech tribal communities of the Stone Age.
• For the teacher: an introduction to content for continued classroom instruction that is not yet available in textbooks.
• For the parent: a wake-up call about how we are being taken off course by convenience, economics and societal pressure.
• For the youngster: reassurance that each has all he or she needs to be fine in an uncertain future, and he or she can feel good about himself or herself right now.
Today, on the brink of losing ancestral memory forever, new discoveries from the ancient world are coming faster than our textbooks can keep up; modern science is giving us fresh insight in the nick of time. Now, we can look into the ancient world with unprecedented clarity and gain perspective that is central to understanding some of the issues we are having today and crucial for making healthy decisions for moving forward.
OTSF is working on a resource for parents, teachers and caregivers who want to raise effective managers and leaders of tomorrow. Gently and quietly, with tongue in cheek, we uncover hints of ancient treasure that can help us RECOGNIZE and CHALLENGE an artificial distortion of human values that has become a feature of modern life.
