REAL COMMENTS FROM REAL PEOPLE:
Malta is a beautiful place (we had great weather) with an extremely interesting history. The staff was excellent, and the program was well organized. The lectures were very good. We also had a good group of participants.
We found Malta to be a fascinating place of history, religion, an international crossroads for centuries. The program was well done by the leadership with individual as well as group attention provided for the visitors.
Excellent speakers- the best of all our trips. Staff was right on- warm, considerate, well organized. In short, couldn't be better.
The quality of the lectures and integration with the site visits was the best kind of learning reinforcement. Every detail was attend to; it seemed effortless to the participants.
I truly feel that this was an exceptional experience. All the elements that make a trip memorable were in this program. Good leadership, good lectures, tremendous sightseeing, and a beautiful country like Malta are a winning combination.
For people interested in history and cultures, Malta is a fascinating destination. Ironically, most people (including myself prior to the trip) would have a hard time locating it on a map. The program was extremely well designed, and provided a comprehensive exposure with knowledgeable guides and lecturers. The staff members were outstanding hosts.
Excellent guide. Incredibly interesting very small island. If you have any interest in the 2nd World War the history of Malta is enthralling. Because it is so small you can learn and SEE it in depth. Visit to the underground War Rooms was fascinating. Also the opportunity to visit the neighbouring island of Gozo was a bonus.
The selection of tours and activities were excellent and engaging. The visits to the Hypogeum, Ggantija, Hagar Qim and Tarxien were absolutely thrilling; the Lascaris War Rooms tour guide is a compelling story teller who transformed this military history nonreader into a convert; the scenic sites were the sort you picture for the rest of your life; and the restaurant selections sent me home pounds heavier. The lecturers were consistently excellent. The leaders are gracious, organized, well informed and detail oriented. Overall this is an amazing trip that I would highly recommend.
Everything was so fantastic. From being picked up at the airport by Joe when I arrived 2 days earlier and Josette arranging accomodations for me to stay at same hotel for my pre-trip. Meals great, hotel great, group great, lectures great, even to the point that Josette met us at the airport on departure to be sure we were checked in properly. Vivien very knowledgeable about all her lectures and great tour guide. Bus driver Xavier excellent driver in very difficult driving conditions. All guest lectures excellent.
